Harry Reid: “They’re jealous of what happened last November”

Oh my.

When I was little and had trouble with other little kids on the playground, my best friend would assure me not to worry that the other little kids were “just jealous”.

When faced with criticism by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell that the Senate democrats have wasted time in the undue partisanship, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid replied:

“They resent what happened last November, they’re jealous of what happened last November, and they’re mad as hell at what happened last November,” Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, said Tuesday. “What they don’t want to acknowledge is what we’ve been able to accomplish.”

What does one say about this juvenile response? Glad to know that the kids are running the country.

  1. Sadly, many in both party’s are acting more like children than leaders. In the meantime, the country falters and we send our Troops off with one hand tied behind their backs, again.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have actual Representatives in office that cared about the country instead of their personal fortunes and political power?

As to “what they have accomplished,” I’m waiting to see what claims are made. That I see, they haven’t accomplished anything of substance.

  2. My favorite politician line is “We’re working hard for the American people”.

Employees who tell you how hard they work are usually the ones who are doing nothing but talking. Employees who are working hard are too busy to tell you how hard they work.

  3. Too often, the hardest workers go unnoticed by higher ups as they are too busy to be noticed. Politicians are much the same.

Headline grabbers are just seeking notoriety to keep hold of whatever power they have.
